has there ever been a mention of a ork warboss coming across a deamon weapon and using it in battle?

I am not aware of any specific examples, but in The Orks 7th edition codex there is a gift of gork and mork you can take called "Headwoppa's Killchoppa". Its description has obvious relation to chaos through its description.

"Grand Warboss Headwoppa had a real thing for decapitating his enemies. Whenever the Warboss lopped the head from an opponent, his lads would raise a raucous cheer. Headwoppa and his tribe were last seen charging headlong into a horde of khornate Daemons at the heart of the Vandenghest Nebula. Yet legend speaks of a blood slick big choppa that still turns up occasionally. Though this weapon looks normal, a dark voice is said to growl into the mind of it wielder, driving him on to even greater excesses of bloodthirsty violence."

Are orks immune to Chaos/Warp energies?

No, but they are extremely difficult to corrupt to actual Chaos worship. They already have everything they could want if they have a fight and a big gun/axe. Making them desire anything else than more of the same just doesn't work very well. The Chaos gods are worthless to an ork with even Khorne being a silly git - if he wants skulls he can bloody well come get them himself!

Some of the old background said that Stormboyz followed (or at least were more inclined to) Khorne if I recall correctly. Though I don't think it still applies (in terms of "canon") one could argue that they be more inclined to follow that path.

There is some more recent background which has some Nurgle infected Orks attacking an Imperial planet. The Orks are slow and so butchered by Sisters of Battle. I forget exactly what happens next but I think they were filled by Nurglite Daemons or some such? Could someone refresh my memory?

This is different though. Those Orks aren't worshipping / wittingly serving Nurgle, they're just infected by one of his many illness.

As has been said it's extremely hard to get Orks to give a feth about Chaos. They've got everything they need from Gork and Mork with no strings. There may be outliers (some sort of goblin boss may like Tzeench, stormboys would have been more tempted to follow old Khorne stuff about martial pride) but they're few and far between.

Wasn't the Ork in the space marine video game not in the end possessed by a demon?

The old 'Ere we Go, Waargh! The Orks and Freebooterz books had most of the present day background on the Orks and Chaos:

- An Ork could rise as a Chaos Champion, most likely with Khorne. But it was a rare occurance.
- Some Stormboys, when they get older, cling to the past with some sort of Orky nostalgia. Occasionally, they are tempted into Khorne worship and become Khorne's stormboys
- Khorne is said to have some Ork-like features in reflection of the Orks bloodthirsty nature
- An amusing unit you could field was the Possessed Warphead. The Daemon possesses the psyker but, before it realises its mistake, it becomes trapped as it is unable to tempt the Ork in any way. So, as a consequence, the Ork becomes more powerful but still carries on blasting away at anything just like before whereas the Daemon is reduced to wailing and causing the Ork to talk to himself more!
