In the novels published so far, it has been mentioned that the reforging undergone by a Stormcast when 'slain' is rather painful and unpleasant. And that more of the person they were is lost each time it occurs. Kind of like the copy of a copy of a copy thing, where it barely resembles the original a few generations later.

Thanks to MongooseMatt for taking the time to do his review writeup. I was pretty likely going to get the book anyway, but hearing from someone without all the internet insta-hate/snark is appreciated.
