Hi everyone - my friend Patrick and I have been working on a tabletop game called Mech Deck for the past couple of years, and our Kickstarter has been live for about 10 days, now. The main draw of Mech Deck is its modular nature: each Mech is made up of 5 parts, each of which comes with a corresponding plastic piece. You interlock these parts together to build your Mech, and as the game is played out, your parts get destroyed and you wind up physically dismantling your robot.

I just wanted to say hello and drop a link to the KS page, see if there was any interest among you all. We're still in the prototype phase, so the designs you see on the Kickstarter aren't final. Below are renders of the next generation of parts. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

This is an interesting idea, but I have reservations about the component designs.

From experience with other games that have tried to make modular parts, I think you either need to go with very simple physical designs (LEGO mini-fig style connectors) or else design with the use of magnets in mind. Because precision plastic connectors break and become unusable.
