I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it, so if it was it must have been awhile ago. Can a single character (like a Chaos Lord) take multiple artifacts from the Daemonkin Artifacts of Slaughter? The reason I ask is because one of my opponents in a tournament yesterday (see this battle report: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/663756.page) ran a Lord with the Blood-forged Armor and Goredrinker. I don't think that's allowed, as the wording is (and I quote from Codex: Khorne Daemonkin pg. 71): "Only one of each artifact may be taken per army. A model may take one of the following: The Brazen Rune, The Skull-helm of Khorne, The Blood-forged Armor. A model may instead replace one weapon with one of the following: Goredrinker, The Blade of Endless Bloodshed, Kor'lath, the Axe of Ruin."
The wording to me makes it sound as if a single character may only take one artifact, but that if you have six eligible characters, you can have all six artifacts. The word "instead" is what makes me think this (in which case my opponent was cheating, and I don't think this was the only thing he did. I heard a somewhat heated discussion and complaint from another table later in the day...but I digress). Basically, can you or can you not take multiple artifacts?

Yes as the wording clearly states only 1 artefact per character.

Only one relic per character. Wording is super clear. He can take a,b, or c, or instead can replace one weapon with d, e, or f, excludes one side or the other from eachother.

Yup- that lord was illegal- you can take all 6 if you somehow have 6 IC's- but only 1 relic each.
