So the other day I got to talking with a friend and he mentioned how it would be fun to try Mordheim, And I rememberd that we have the Mordheim rule book in the gaming club so I asked on the gaming clubs facebook page if anyone else would be intrested in playing it and not only did three others say they where in, But they now want me to make a campaign for it.. The problem is, I have only played Mordheim like 3 matches before and I have never made a campaign in anything.. So.. I was curious if anyone could give me some tips and help on how to make a campaign in Mordheim..?

A good place to start is to get a final number on the amount of players (sounds like 5) and find out what everyone's participation level is. Best way to do that is just asking about their schedules. ie. Is one guy super busy with work, kids etc. and therefore will probably only get to play a game once a week and wont contribute much, other than being there. Need to figure that out along with how serious and competive the group is. Mordheim is, by nature, a competitive game but what you don't want to happen is for someone to bring a fluffy/ story built list that is not optimal while everyone else is min/maxing (this may be a non issue but could be helpful especially if there is a newer player) because lets face it, it is no fun getting stomped on everygame.
Once you get that down. Figure out what rules you are going to use. If you just type in "mordheim rules" in google, I think the warseer website will be the first entry, and they have all the mordheim pdfs and expansions which can all be downloaded. Probably better than 5 dudes sharing a rulebook. The resource section in the warseer mordheim pdf files is great, and worth looking at, they literally have the basic turn sequence along with the shooting and close combat tables on one printable page, its awesome. Try and get a concensus on houserules that may be beneficial to the campaign. Commonly people make armor cost half so its more usable, also if someone has a duel wielding character making their offhand weapon hit at -1 because there is no reason to not have characters have 2 weapons normally. Get that stuff ironed out.
After that have everyone get their warband lists done, and start setting up games. This is where the schedules thing comes into play. Example- the busy guy maybe only has time for one game a week, and if other people are playing more than that their warbands will get way stronger and the busy guy will get left in the dust. So most people will cap the amount games each warband can play a week to keep it more or less even.
The hardest part comes next. That is figuring out when the campaign ends. How do you determine who won? It is a tough question that will take some talking over with the group to figure out. Some people create a point system, others just play until the enthusiasm wears off then just have one massive battle free for all and the last man standing "wins".
But most importantly have fun!!! This is your first time heading a campaign so just take everything in stride. Some stuff will go wrong but just roll with it, because thats Mordheim!!
Hope this helped, good luck!

Also, it can be fun if every few "turns" or game Sessions you throw out a specialty mission, group encounter, event to mix things about.
Perhaps the trailing warbands all combine to explore a zombie filled section of the City, while the leading player controls the zombies. Some campaign events to bring them all together and break things up a bit and help make sure other players don't get left behind.

Definitely try and mix it up. There are tons of "unofficial" scenarios floating around which are awesome.
Also from my experience, people see how much fun you are having and want to join in. I made two warbands for myself. One was my main (dwarf treasure hunters) which I started the campaign with. One was a Reikland merc warband that I kept fresh so that if someone wanted to join, me and that person could play some catch up games. I'm glad I did that because five games in someone wanted to join up. After we played five games and caught him up, I just disbanded my Reikland warband to keep them fresh for later use.
There are other ways to catch people up but I had the models ready anyway.

One of the biggest things to remember with mordheim is that balancing can become a major issue after a few weeks. Last mordheim league/campaign I was in we had 30 players (awesome I know) but after about 4 weeks 3 of us had pulled so far ahead that we were nearly unbeatable. Now limiting players who do well seems unfair but it will become you have a warband of 8 men vs a fully fleshed out undead warband with lots of toys and a vampire with a 3+armor save 4 attacks str 7 and movement of 18". Its a slaughter.....try setting limits to warband ratings by how far along you are in the campaign so that if people do start running away with it the games wont end up dull when people are getting curb stomped.
Also another fun idea is using a map based campaign but make it so that no one knows where eachother is, you all randomly bump into eachother. This will take time and planning and extra warbands. Try checking out themordheimer.com

Finaly I got some replies as to who will join in and who will play what. I dont know what I will play yet but we have one Skaven player, One Ostander (I think they are called..) player, One Undead player and one Pirate player.
Maybe people could give me sugestions on who to play? We are gonna be using the Official and Unofficial warbands found on Mordheimer, I'm considering maybe Dark Elves, Or Dwarves.. Or Lizardmen.. Or a human mercenary warband.. xD

Play what you like or have models for.
The Random Encounters chart from WD is a fun addition to your games. We usually capped it at one random encounter per game, so it didn't wreck everything.
There is a very active group called Mordheim on FB, join it for rules questions, trades, and inspiration.
