So I've had this project for a few month and I'm now to a point where its starting to come together. At times I wanted to throw this guy at a wall ( like tonight) but seeing it come together is making me think it was worth it.

Spoiler:

Its still in the early stages lots more green stuff and patience but I think I will make it work.

Lots to still do so don't be to harsh on me just yet. The goal is to try and make it more Next style so i plan on making the weapons look like laser rifles and the back is suppose to have a thruster feel to it. I don't even want to think about the head so many possibility's. Sorry if the images are over sized I posted this from my phone and they seemed to fit alright.

It's not clear from the photos, but I assume there's a pin/rod in there under the greenstuff?

The effect is rather good - this could come out very nicely!

Workin on the first layer. Pickin this back up my reavers at my friends house an I needed to sculpt xD. I'm trying to make it like a sleek pointy energy mech I use to run. Goin with dual dcannons for the good ol laser rifles.

Bit of a two-tone effect going on with the greenstuff on the back, there. Are you mixing it with anything?

It looks like an interesting project anyways. Looking forward to pics of the whole thing.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

Yea in the first spoiler you can see the plastic I used as a base I used liquid green stuff on that an greenstuff to bulk up. I also switched from green stuff to kneadatite.

Ah! Greenstuff and kneadatite are the same thing, though.

I'd suggest finding some milliput, apoxie sculpt, magic sculp, rezolin, or some other hard-curing putty, and mixing a greater or smaller amount of that into green stuff, for sculpting. All of those behave more like softer, sort-of crumblier 'clay' than green stuff's chewing-gum feel; but they're easier to smooth while soft, and much easier to shave or sand after hardening. Mixing some green stuff with them will help bind their structure together, though. Make it a bit less of a shock if you start using a very different kind of putty.
Could be useful for shaping smooth eldar machine parts. And definitely a bit cheaper for big knight/titan sized projects!

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

I am really curious to see where this is going...

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

Kudos for the persistance with the sculpting, everybody thinks that one merely slap on greenstuff and smoothen it out, but it takes a couple of layers to get to the final result.
