I'm building a Night Lord list that's fun and fluffy. That means no Daemons or Daemon Engines, no Spawn, obits etc, just Marine based stuff. It's a conservative list that uses armour and firepower for the first 2 turns until the unit in the Storm Eagle and Raptors are ready to strike, then it'll push up as they deploy in the enemy lines. Would appreciate any ideas my concern so far would be a lack of anti-infantry firepower.

Chaos Lord: power fist; lightning claw; sigil of corruption; gift of mutation; Mark of Slaanesh; Veterans of the Long War 160

5 Noise Marines: 3× sonic blaster; blastmaster 134
Chaos Rhino: Havoc launcher 47

5 Noise Marines: 3× sonic blaster; blastmaster 134
Chaos Rhino: Havoc launcher 47

10 Noise Marines: 9× close combat weapon; Veterans of the Long War; Noise Champion (doom siren); icon of excess 244
In the Storm Eagle with the Chaos Lord for a fun 'go get-em' unit. Will struggle against terminators or anything with plenty of 2+ armour, but hey, Night Lords aren't for going after these type of units in combat!

5 Noise Marines: Noise Champion (doom siren) 110
in the Land Raider for late game objective grabbing

Chaos Storm Eagle: twin-linked multi-melta; 2 twin-linked lascannons; dirge caster 285

10 Raptors: 2× meltagun; Mark of Slaanesh; Veterans of the Long War 240
Sure, Raptors aren't the most competitive unit, but they are a Night Lords unit. Will be a backfield harassing unit game wise, deep striking in probably.

Chaos Relic Sicaran: Sponson Lascannons; Dozer Blade 180

Chaos Land Raider: dirge caster; dozer blade 240

Not sure how fluffy it is for Night Lords having an army largely consisting of squads of Noise Marines, and Mark Of Slaanesh all over the place...

Because Night Lords are susceptible to Chaos, but openly fielding Daemons leaves a bitter taste in their mouth. Aaron-Dembski Bowden's Night Lords series is pretty much gospel for modern Night Lords. In there you have Uzas, a Khorne-Follower. The Bleeding Eyes, the Exalted etc. Living in and out of the warp for 10,000 years lets Chaos in. Openly running with Daemons is a different matter
