So yeah. I got back into the hobby after all my friends got into it, and decided with the coming of AOS it might be hard to get bits to make my trench guard, so I decided to go with something I had brewing a long time ago... Samurai guard. Nothing fancy as my GS skills are mediocre at best, and I'm not sure what alternate ranges I should go with, was thinking of Wargames factory, but iffy on the true scale to epic scale...

Anyways, with out further jiber jabbin, what I have so far.

This is what I had sitting about..

He became my squad capt. I wanted to make a fancy kabuto fir him, and I think I did a decent job... Any tips and tricks would be appreciated.

And the rest of the squad

And the first 'generic' trooper,

So as you can see I haven't done much with them, but I cant seem to find enough people to give me a decent idea on how to improve, I would love any info on sculpting armour or any other samurai guardsmen advice, so yeah. Just my little group that will soon be my whole army. Of course, any one have ideas or advice on how to sculpt 'add-ons'? Like the armour bits or the helms? I have terrible luck trying to think of a way to make my own heads and resin casting them.

P.S. this is what I had before this idea

If you are looking for alternate models, look up Warzone Mishima troops. The entire army is sci-fi samurai from ashigaru to Meka.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

In my opinion they look like Cadians with extra bits added on.

Personally I would buy some truescale guns and use the wargames factory stuff as it will look a lot less like GW. I also think the Oriental armour look is a bit wasted on such huge and chunky models.

Don't get me wrong, what you have done is impressive, but it still looks like cadians really. Especially the general shape of them and the torsos.
