I had a kind of comedic idea for my Necrons and wanted to know what you guys thought. Since my Overlord is rather eccentric and has a unique personality, I was wondering if it would be fluff appropriate for him to "name" his underlings. For example, naming a wraith Fluffy, or one of his lychguard Bubbles

Let's be honest here, who cares? They're your models and as long as you don't sit your opponent down and introduce each model with a Playboy Paragraph "This is Fluffy Von Matterhorn and he likes long walks on the beach, a full body Bordeaux and loud cars but dislikes body odor and vegetables", what you call your models doesn't matter.

I put funny names on a lot of my models.

I have a Helbrute called Georgia.
An IG psyker called 'Tim' - after Mony Python's Tim the Enchanter.
I have 'Just Married' written on one of my Chimeras

Go right ahead, humor is great for the Grim, Dark Future..

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

I got a necron warrior that my gf painted pink so I and everyone else calls it pinky (there is even a small in-joke that I go out of my way to save pinky from dieing). Decided to add some lore to it saying it was a commoner who my overlord fell in love with pre-body swaping so he got her necron shell turned pink so he always knew which one she was even if no one else knows.

So yeah go for it.

It's easy to assume that people arguing an interpretation you disagree with are just looking for an advantage for themselves... But it's quite often not the case.

Go for it man. That's positively mild compared to some of the fluffy Necron lunacy. I'd love to fight a wraith if it was called Fluffy!

The dark behind the eyes.

Might I suggest writing each model's name on its base.

Also, when one dies, scream it's name in the most dramatic way possible "FLUFFY, NOOOOOOOOOOO!".

Your opponent will soon try to avoid killing your models.

I will respect human rights and trans people but I will never under any circumstances use the phrase 'folks' or 'ya'll'. I would rather be killed by firing squad.

Yeah, when i read the small novel that is the Death Guard unit options and think about resolving the attacks from a melee-oriented min size death guard squad, the thing that springs to mind is "Accessible!"

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.
