The Lachesis Affair
The Lachesis Affair is a one day Inquisitor event at Dark Sphere (London, SE1 7LD, easily accessible from Waterloo or Lambeth North) to be run on 21st November 2015, and is open to both 28mm and 54mm scale players. Players will spend the day investigating Facility S4d-5, a weapons research facility on Lachesis IV which has gone suddenly and eerily silent.

There's been discussion of a London (that's the one in England) event for some years, but it's never yet happened.

As such, I was recently motivated to kick several people to see if they're interested and contacted Dark Sphere regarding a venue (SE1 7LD, easily accessible from Waterloo and Lambeth North stations), and they've given us a couple of possible Saturday dates (and several Sunday ones, but their standard Sunday opening hours aren't great).

Our available Saturday options are the 21st and 28th of November. Neither is massive notice, I know, but there are no available Saturdays in December (and January just isn't soon enough!)

There is a small charge for tables, so we'll probably ask people to throw a couple of quid in a mug to cover that, but that should be it for the cost of entry.

Greenstuff_Gav has offered to help with writing and running the event (I'm already occupied with the plans for the future "Legacy" event, so can't take on the whole thing myself).
So, if you show up, expect to be investigating a suddenly silent research outpost on Lachesis IV. Has man delved too deep into matters beyond his understanding, and can you contain the dark secrets that lie within... or are you just going to turn up and loot the place?
(Expect to hear more once we're a bit more organised).

If you're interested, comment below with which date(s) you can do, whether you'd be looking to play 28mm/54mm/both and we'll try and iron out the numbers.

I would like in. 28mm but I am a novice for inquisitor and only have the original rulebook. I would be keen on coming along (I play a lot of dark heresy...) and dropping in for a game if that's cool? If that's cool pm me.
However if it's for more experienced players I'd like to drop in just to see a game in action ect.

The event is open to Inquisitor players of pretty much any experience level - everyone's got to start somewhere! I'd object if a player didn't appear to have properly read through the rulebook, but practical experience is not a necessity - the game isn't that hard to pick up with the help of a veteran GM.

The only real thing is that it would be helpful if players who've not been to a recent-ish event contact me regarding their character sheets, as it'll help make sure everyone's characters are largely to the same standard.

Thanks I don't want to slow down gaming. I'm going to reread the rule book this week and make some short prompts (cheat sheets) so I can speed up the process. I have played before but a while ago but I've played a lot of dark heresy so, whilst the mechanics are different, I will be okay with the interaction ect

With regards to characters I will forward my sheets: I'm no Mary sue and will rock up with a simple IG guardsmen sergeant or something similiar with a shot of the mini.

The expectation is more that players will bring a group of characters - rather like playing an entire Dark Heresy cell on your own.

There's no specific number of characters a player has to bring, but most games will be written with about three characters per player in mind. If a player brings more, they will have the option to pick which they use in any given game during the day, in order to help keep the games balanced and manageably sized.
