Favourite for me so far has probably been playing The Ritual as the attacker. It is *hard*.

Thanks RoperPG! I read the description and it does sound fun. Maybe I'll take the plunge and try it next battle I arrange.

Mymearan, sounds good! Let me know how you get on with the rules inside the book (then 'Times of War' too).

So far my favorite as well. I would also highly recommend to try out the Realmgates and rules for them on this battleplan if you have the models. It adds another layer to the mission that creates even more options for both sides.

The Realmgate destroy/defend mission was fun as well. Since the intruders have to start in the middle, and the sentinels can come from any direction. You really have to keep the formations tight to prevent in possible breakthrough on the gate. We only did this with melee heavy armies however, and in future sight I would say keep it that way. Siege engines could easily tear the gate to pieces.

Just going to bump this as we have more experience with them now. What's your favorite battleplans so far everyone?

Don't think it will help, as it needs two entire castles, but there is one in the Dreadhold book (forget its name) that has two fortresses, each in a different Realm, connected by a single Realmgate. That is going to have to get tried some day.

If you get the forces right, The Trap is always a goodie, and I really enjoyed the Watchtower I played last week - a short battle but very, very bloody.

But check out the Dreadhold book when you can, there are some good Battleplans in it (they don't all require a huge castle!), will get your imagination flowing!

Oooo, the FORTRESSES OF DEATH one? I'm just looking at the preview in the AoS app now. If you play that one we need an epic battle report from you!

There is not this idea.

Is the castle something easily proxied?

Because I got a lot of old lego lying around. I can make a dang castle. I am not going to buy one of those.

The Watchtower seems like a popular one at the club, but my favorites is the relic one (forgot what its called) and the exclusive celestant prime one where you defend it as it goes super saiyan. Good laugh.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

Absolutely - AoS certainly gives you that flexibility.
