Just making a list for DA and I had a bit of a conundrum. If I take a squad of dreadnoughts, put them in a drop pod, will they come in at the same time because they are a squad? Or will they drop pod assault half rounded up? This is assuming that I'm taking only the drop pods for a single unit of dreadnoughts.

You can't fit multiple dreadnaughts in a drop pod. They only carry a single dreadnaught

A Drop Pod also isn't an option if you have more than one Dreadnought in the squadron. Check out the last bullet point on the datasheet:

If the unit contains no additional Dreadnoughts, it may select a Drop Pod as a Dedicated Transport.

It is available as a fast attack choice in a CAD or Allied detatchment, not just as a dedicated transport.

But as the first reponder correctly stated the transport rules tell you the unit embarking is all or none and you cannot fit more than 1 dread in a pod.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

I understand transport capacity, it would be a drop pod for each dreadnought.

Do all come in on turn 1 because it is a single unit?

Or

Does the use of drop pods break up the squad because of drop pod assault?

You are not able to split a unit (i.e. the three dreadnoughts) between multiple transports. (p80, Transport Capacity)
