Subject: Glued the shoulder plates for the Tau Fire Warriors on the wrong arm! Is that bad?

New comer here both to this site and Warhammer models! I couldn't help myself with these guys! They're fun to do though~
Anyways. My problem I have is I did a whoopies when I was putting together some Tau Fire Warriors. As I was gluing number five together I saw that I had the shield plates were on the wrong shoulder, glue is dry and rather not peel them off. Will leave a nasty residue on them. Now I assume this is alright? Like not breaking any rules to the game or something? I know these models are up for being creative with, but I also know there's rules with these things, so I want to make sure, because I want to play the game!
This isn't my first mistake I did as well. My first unit I put together was a Tau Riptide~ Gosh I love it! Nothing to serious, just on the back of his leg they have these moveable fins, one is set up correctly and the other is upside down~ Whoops!
I've also put together a Broadside! He's all fine! And a Hammerhead! First vehicle. (Groans) Screw the hull up a bit. I still love how these guys turned out!

Dont worry, The shoulderpads have no rules asociated with them. You arent breaking any rules by gluing them wrong, The only real rules for modeling is that you should preferably try to give them the weapons they have. So if they have a Pulse Rifle, you give the model a Pulse Rifle. Though even that isent set in stone, Depending on who you play against some might demand they have the right gun, Others might say it's alright as long as you say who has what.
As to armour pieces like Shoulderpads and what arm they are on, That dosent matter. They are just there to makethe model look better and fit the fluff.

Yeah, nothing wrong with that. Will make your models different from every other Tau army out there. Your own little conversation if you want.
Just take your time with the rest of them, read the instructions (but don't be afraid to make your own conversions), and always test fit before you glue.

The whole thing is very very lax. You could have a weapon strapped onto a model's head using his belt, and it would count as present and valid. The times modelling and placements strictly matter: Guns on vehicles (lign of sight), claiming a statted/paid component is there when it isn't (lamps, for instance), and certain colours are actually important for Orks.
