Got three bikes, one with Grav-gun, one is the sergeant, and one is an expandable scrub. They stay at range and are an annoyingly mobile grav unit.

Suggestions for the sergeant loadout? Grav pistol or Combi-Grav, or both?

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Combi grav. The pistols are overpriced, even on units designed for CC work.

And you might want to get the basic scrub guy a grav gun as well. For a moderate investment of points you double the firepower of the squad. One of the big perks of bikes squads is the 2x special at min size.

QFT, you should always run 2x special weapons on your bike squads.

I usually use the bike sergeant as a meat shields, to keep my gravgunners alive longer. A combigrav is also a good choice, as it gives the squad a very nice alpha strike against something like a Dreadknight (gives you a better chance of killing it in one round of shooting).
