These blind ships are going to be around for about a year, if we are to believe the Shipyard. This is my organic list of the ships in a blind brick. I've listed them from #1 to #10, basing #1 on my play experience and the flow of the OP's over the next few months. It's important to note that these ships are ONLY being considered in the context of a blind. That is, you don't get to pick the ship, and you can only spend 40 points to build the ship. Outside of a blind OP, some of these ships become much, much better, or they have cards that will greatly benefit your fleet.

I expect this list to change, and will be revisiting this list from time to time. Please! Throw in your opinions and why a ship should be above or below another one. Without further ado...

Tamwulf's Top Ten List of Blind Ships

10. Bajoran Interceptor 8: Gimmick 9 or 10 dice attack. Only one way to build for an OP. Awesome for other Bajoran ships, worst ship in the blinds.

9. IKS Buruk. Gotta love Kurak, awesome defense to prevent 2 points of damage for 3 points. And another anti-fighter weapon upgrade.

8. Nuunk's Marauder. This ship just makes me go "uh, what?". Cards don't relate to a Ferengi theme, and I just... "uh, what?" Weapon Ports are a great upgrade. Cheap enough too so you won't feel the pinch for cross faction use. In a heavy fighter meta, this card is worth its weight in cold. The rest of the ship... "uh, what?"

7. Vulcan Seleya, a D'Kyr class. Would have been soooo much better as a Suurok Class due to the cards already available to Vulcans. If you are willing to disable a bunch of shields and discard all your upgrades, this ship could be awesome for one round. After that... well...

6. Kazon ship- Long range sniper. Great cards for the rest of the plantation fleet. very solid middle of the road ship for a blind.

5. Dominion Aldara Galor Class: Excellent "Fleet" vessel. Hands out buffs. Very nice support ship!

4. IRW Belak (D'Drex): A Romulan ship that can convert BS tokens, good defense stuff!

3. Federation USS Lakota: Some more movement shenanigans and attack cancelation, and oh yeah. Upgraded Phasers, probably the card you will want to put on all your ships.

2. MU IKS Toh'Kaht. Just what the MU needed. Another Vor'cha class. Great Captain if you have a lot of upgrades. Nice big heavy hitter, should have been a Klingon ship, not MU.

1. Bioship Omega: The heavy hitter. Extra crits, white for red maneuvers, perform a free action, defense upgrades... this is the ship to get.

You're missing the Kazon

Not to far off of my own ranking. I am thinking,

1) Bioship
2) Lakota
3) MU
4) Kazon
5) Dominion
6)Klingon (it is still 5 hull and 3 shields w/4 attacks)
7) Romulan (I love my Romulans and this ship has some great rerolls, but limited to 3 attacks)
8) Ferengi
9) Vulcan (just doesn't have the firepower to hang with mixed eras, shame it doesn't have a regulare 4 attack photonic weapon like the other D'Kye classes)
10) Bajoran

I want that Bioship badly! Actually I want a bunch of these ships sigh...

I am all for about half of the ships, but if I never pull the Dominion, Bajoran, MU, or Kazon, I won't cry.

I want to get my hands on them all. I am curious to see how much they will be when they first hit eBay Given that there are some flgood cards in each pack it wouldn't be a bad idea to just buy a whole brick but it would have to be reasonable no insane GWish prices.

As these blinds will be around for a while, I would expect the prices to initially be very high initially, but after 2-3 months, to fall around MSRP, and by around month 10, to fall below that.

If these blinds hit next month, and I play in about 2 OP's per month... I'll probably hit eBay around Feb to get the ships I want. Depending on prices, I might just see about getting a brick.

eBay predictions: The Fed ship will go for a premium (even though it's an OK ship, but Upgraded Phasers) because, Federation. The Bioship Omega will go for a premium as well (too many cheap and VERY powerful upgrades for Species 8472 players). After that... it's hard to say. The Bajoran Interceptor initially will be high, as it's a gimmick ship, but has some great cards. These ships will be around $50+. The rest will probably go for around $20-$30 with prices falling as the year progresses, except for the Fed, Bioship, and Interceptor. They will probably remain high due to the multiple stacking/use of their cards.

All of the blinds will be nice to have, but I don't think I would need multiples of them all. I would take multiples of

1) Lakota (I'll take as many of those Upgraded Phasers as I can get)

2) Bioship Omega (nice to have more low cost upgrades for a 8472 fleet)

3) Ferengi (2 would be nice, not sure more than that is needed)

4) Romulan (2-3 of the Aft Disruptors & Modified Cloak will be useful)

5) Dominion (a couple of those 3pt Aft Weapons would be nice)


Not much need for multiples of MU, Klingon, Kazon, Bajoran, and Vulcan. With that I will probably end up with 5 of one of these.

clumped severl ships together, most of them are useless to me

Their will be players saying "Yes!" and fist pumping, while other players will be groaning and muttering "Oh well. There goes my chances of winning". Such a huge quality disparity between the blind ships...

I'm going to have a more positive look on it. I could care less about any prizes from the Temporal Cold War so the way I see it I will be paying my $15 for a blind ship and I want them all, so I'm good

I'd prefer multiples of 3 ships, but not going to happen.

Dominion I need 3 of these for the cheap aft weapons array for my Cardassian fleet, this one i sould get noone else plays them. So, they will be easy trades.
MU I want 3 just for the ships they look very well painted, I'll reserve judgement when I see one from an actual brick. Have a feeling WK sent a higher quality paint job to Dave.
