Manager of my local GW shop + some customers came up with a pretty cool idea for a racing game using Warhammer 40K vehicles. Again, it's not using anything that isn't Games Workshop, so it's legal. But, I was considering kitbashing the Mad Max Fury Road War Rig. I have this bad feeling that it's going to end up costing a lot more to make it than I'm willing to pay for it. But, I was wondering if you all could help me come up with some ideas of vehicles I could take bits from, random other bits, maybe some green stuff ideas that would help me put it together. Any ideas? Here's a picture for reference.

For the basis you will likely need one battle wagon and at least 2 trukks. Beyond that it can get scrapped together from sprue, plastic or carboard pipe, and whatever other bits and Gubbins you have laying around.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Ork vehicles are definitely the way to go. Depending on how Orky you want it, I would either pick up a hobby model tanker truck and go from there, adding tons of Battlewagon and Trukk bits. Otherwise, 2 Battlewagons glued together would form a good base, plus other bits.

I... actually don't know. Help?

I'd say a battlewagon, combined with various scale models.

Thanks! I'll definitely look into those. Any other Citadel/GW bits you can think of that would make it look like the War Rig, I'd love to hear about them.

Have a look at what went into these.

GW are soft on using modelling materials, not everything has to come from a kit, just not a competitor.
