A Independent Human faction from the Edge of the Jericho Reach. Called The Tannhauser, these mysterious humans have access to frightening levels of ArcheoTech including Artificial Intelligence.

Developing technology for thousands of years, the Tannhauser are not constrained by the corruption of Chaos or the Xenophobia of the Imperium.

I started this project with a scratch built Grav Tank last year and wanted infantry to accompany the tank. I found some Eisenkern online and the Army has blossomed from there.

Some of the Battle Droids I call Voltiguers (Use the Skitarrii Ranger rules) I just finished these guys.

I placed some plasticard of the eyes, I wanted them to look like the security bots from Elysium.

Now working on the Infantry, I called them Panzer Grenadiers use Space Marine tactical rules.

I have painted one up to see if I like the scheme,I added a small unit insignia on the left shoulder
I dont know about the missile launcher still up in the air on that.

The second picture is the SGT still WIP with a converted plasma combi weapon.

Copplestone Miniatures, Ill post more infantry as I finish the squads, now working on a Vindicare proxy, Termie Proxy and below is the NebelWerfer (Counts as Thunderfire Cannon) and the Crew.

I built the Neblewerfer from some resin parts laying around and a missile pod from one of my sons old toy tanks.

Its been a long time since I posted on this project, needless to say, alot has happened in my life since the last time I posted in 2015.
Just a recap, I am working on a Iron Hands Proxy Army called the Tannhauser. Tannhauser is the name given to the collective armed forces of an Independent Human faction from the Edge of the Jericho Reach. Similar to the Interex, Adrantis V and the Auretian Technocrocy, these mysterious humans have access to frightening levels of ArcheoTech including Artificial Intelligence.

Developing technology for thousands of years, the Tannhauser are not constrained by the corruption of Chaos or the Xenophobia of the Imperium.

Here is a picture of my Commander, (counts as Primaris TechMarine) the Tannhauser call them "KampfPionier". I still have to get to my local hobby store and grab some tuft grass and sand and get im based up.

In addition to my commander I needed a Primaris Grav Tank Proxy,(with twin Lastalons), looking in my bits bin I found an old 1/48 scale JagdPanther. After spending too much time on what I would use from Grav Plates, I decided on using Tau Drones. Adding some bits here and there I came up with this.

I got the Jagdpanther painted up and it was starting to look like a proper AV. I then removed the 88MM cannon and replaced with Twin Linked Lascannon from parts off a SM Razorback. The Remote weapon station on the top took me a few hours to get right, but I am pleased with the results. I then painted camo with a sponge method and added decals. Hope you like.

I finished the Infantry squads, not based yet as I plan to clear coat all the minis at once and then base. These are called PanzerGrenadiers by the Tannhauser, they count as First Born Tactical Squad, or Primaris, depending on the rules F#$%ery that GW changes that year.

For my Army General Character, I decided to use a Iron Hands Contemptor, with Twin Volkites and merciless logic rule. I tried to get this model to convey the "Heat Ray" effect.
The Tannhuaser use Battlesuits similar to the Tau, called "KampfenZug"

The second tank I wanted in the list was a Primaris Reaper Grav Tank. For this proxy I wanted it to have twin linked rotary cannons. Back to the bits bin. I found a terribly mauled Tiger 2 Turret and an unfinshed Tiger 2 kit from Tamiya. Using the Tau battlesuit bits and some styrene I came up with this....

I tried the tank without the skirts but think it looks better with them on.

I wanted the reaper to have options for weapons, twin linked ACs? heck yes!! So I had to ressurrect the old Tiger2 Porcshe Turret. It had no turret ring and no mantlet or bottom. So styrene for the bottom and the Tiger2 ans Jagdpanther 88mm Cannons for the guns. Then I found out that Milk containers have caps that are the perfect size for 1/48 scale turret rings!!

Here is the model with the twin rotary cannons painted with base coat.

I wanted another set of weapons so I added the old turret with the twin ACs and painted it.
