I may have gone a bit too far with this one...

Anyone remember the old Realm of Chaos books where you could create your own Champion of Chaos, generate a warband for him, and then play through a campaign? I was messing around with a few rules for Age of Sigmar while thinking abut them and, umm, well I kinda ended up with the AoS equivalent.

Age of Sigmar allows you to be very, very free form, which is perfect for Chaos warbands. You can dedicate your Champion to a specific God, build up a warband of a wide variety of models, and then kick the stuffing out of your rivals on your way to become a Daemon Prince!

It is really too long to post here, so you are cordially invited to my Slaves to Darkness page here (https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2015/09/25/time-of-war-slaves-to-darkness/), where you can also download a PDF of these rules (along with everything else I have done for Age of Sigmar thus far).

Would be very, very interested to hear how anyone gets on with these.

There is not this idea.

Really neat idea, and I think it could be a lot of fun with a good group. Unfortunately it's not something I can personally try out, unless I made every single unit a proxy.

Is the lieutenant's main purpose to be a replacement?

And to provide one (or more, it is possible!) extra character - makes things more interesting!

Fair point; with chaos, only one character could easily leave you without any magic at all.
