Veteran Knight Baron in a Crusader

I am currently writing a narrative campaign, Imperium vs. Chaos. So, my question is; have Alpha Legionnaires been known to ally with other Chaos Space Marine warbands (For their own benefit of course)? Because I remember reading somewhere that they started insurgencies for the XIII Black Crusade. Anyone know more about them allying up with other marines?

A good place to look at would be Lexicanum and this will provide you with a pretty good overview of the Alphas. It will also give you some details on their engagements, the biggest possibly being the Siege of Vraks.

Yes.
The Crimson Consuls and Emperor's Swords were taken out by the Alpha Legion, whereupon the Black Legion was given the gene-seed banks for the 13th Black Crusade. Then you have the Siege of Vraks. It's quite common.

I think all the warbands/remaining legions ally to other CSM as long as there is something for them. The Night Lords novellas mention previous alliances with both Abaddon's Black Legion and Huron's Red Corsairs, in both cases the Night Lords were after some different goal but worked together to storm the empire.
Even the remaining Wolrd Eaters warbands would ally to another legion/renegade marines.

They ally with other Chaos warbands all the time. It's a big part of their modus operandi.
Pretty much any CSM will ally with the other for the right incentive. Even Kharn. Abaddon is the best at getting other warbands to work for him.
