Looks like fun - some points from my experiences.

Ravenwing really want darkshrouds - going from 4+ rerollable jink to 3+ is huge (and to 2+ for knights) - plus the thing is almost unkillable since it comes with shrouded so it is 2+ rerollable jink.

If your opponent is ok with it use your libby on bike as hq for a ravenwing strike force (tournaments have often faqed it this way since the entry obviously intended for other hqs besides Sammy) just play the libby without the 'ravenwing rule' of rerollable jink saves (again this is how some tournaments faq it).

Tac squad with plasmagun in razorback is inefficient. Razorback is way too easy to kill for its pointscost and then the tacticals are too slow to contribute to the rest of the game - and sitting them on an objective with a plasmagun is not very powerful shooting wise. And on a turn that you fire the plasmagun - they can't assault.

Consider taking the tacticals in a drop pod with either a combi-flamer + flamer or a combi-melta + meltagun (depending on what you will be facing) - this will have alphastrike abilities, get into your opponents side of the table with an objective secured pod and unit on turn 1 and be much more useful than tac with plasmugun in razorback.

Razorbacks are better when you have a bunch of similar vehicles and/or they are free from the formation. Having 1 will just be a big target for any vehicle shooting your opponent has.

If you don't have a pod - then run the tacticals in a rhino (cause its cheap) with either flamers or meltaguns (+combi version) - a rhino is not bad since it can run around the board, if it survives, tank shocking or grabbing objectives.

I understand what you are saying about the Darkshroud, and I do have one. The problem for me is always space. It's not that I don't have ways of transporting models like that from my place to GW where I play and back home again. It's that it'd be best to be able to set up a game for right after work (8-5 M-F). That would mean carrying my models with me. And, while it's tight, the GW Skirmish case does fit in my laptop backpack. So, I can bring it with me to work without anyone wondering what the other case is that I'm holding (don't want to leave them out in the car during the summer when it's 100f+ in the car... really don't want them melting).

I've magnetized the Darkshroud, so there's a very good chance that I could squeeze it in there, but that'd limit what else I could carry with me. Space-wize, a Drop Pod is out of the question. Tac Squad is mainly there for the troop slot. As far as DA troops go, I have one squad of five scouts and three squads of Tac Marines from the Dark Vengeance box. I don't have any other troops, and I have to have two choices. As I'm currently building up my 'Nids, I would rather hold off on purchasing anything new DA-wise at the moment.

I have all the units for the Ravenwing Strike Force (including Sammael in Sableclaw). I don't mind running Sammael at all. While it is open top, it does have some impressive armor stats. Again, space begins to become an issue. Fitting that many land speeders and that many bikes into a Skirmish case is going to get very tight (if not too tight).

I'm not disagreeing with any of your points as they are all valid. Would love to even bring my Aegis Defense Line and put the Razorback and Tac Squad it while my Bikers and Scouts take care of the rest. But, again, with that many bikes, that many figures, something as thick as the Aegis Defense Line, etc., it's going to get tough to fit it all in that case.

On weekends, that'd be no problem. I'm working on building a big magnetic case (out of a toolbox and adhesive magnetic pads) for my Monstrous Creatures and hopefully DA Flyers and Skimmers as well. Maybe end up with a Battle case to hold my 'Nid gants/gaunts and most of my DA Ravenwing, Deathwing, and Greenwing.

EDIT: Also, quick games are very important. My local GW shop (which is on my way home) closes at 7pm (Tues-Thurs, 8pm Fri-Sat). So, if I can't even get there until 5:30, I need a game that'll go no longer than about an hour.

You should get a cooler from warlmart for like 20 bucks and some of those blue plastic ice packs - should be able to put some big models in there and keep in the car without melting.
