If I’m not logged in and go to view a topic using Chrome or Safari on iPhone, after a second or so, it transports me to a wonderful world of having to look at nothing but the upper right advert.
Pressing back takes me to the topic list where I can try again until I give up.

I thought it was my browser or cache, but it’s been a couple months doing this now through various updates and cleanings.
