I have never played a MGS game in my life.
Right, now thats out of the way, I found myself youtubing some gameplay of 5 and then realised they've actually made a PC version (huzzah).

Anyone picked it up? is it as good as it looks?

it's like GTA. It's very good,you play it you have a good time, but then after about the second act it gets sloppy and then when you put it down, you have a hard time picking it up again. Like I am one or two missions form the end but haven't played it in weeks.

Basically after act one, you start to grind.

So far it seems pretty fun, and it plays very, very well, though you might need to do what I did and watch movie cuts of MGS3 and Peace Walker to get the story.

I kind of have to agree with nomotog, in that it seems likes it's going to be a GTA - big expansive game to play, but not a lot of reasons to go back to it. I'm just going to go through and do all the main missions and Side Ops in one go, nevermind the ranking system.

It doesn't look like the online component will have any open world coop, so that's a pass for me.

As soon as mgo drops, it will be awsome.

When MGS4 came out, the Online portion was f'n fantastic.

I was playing it today and it said there was some kind of FOB upgrade coming when MGO comes out.
