Should the various traitor legions be given chapter tactics in order to make them stand out more. The current codex in my opinion does a poor job of representing many of the traitor legions.

The easiest way for me to explain my stance on the issue is thus

When I play someone using the Codex Space Marines, I want to know what chapters they are using because it affects the game.

When I play against CSM, I don't care what legions the units are from.

That is not a good thing.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

No matter the faction, no matter the idea, I am always for giving more variety of options. It creates different combinations that can be used effectively, thus can help relieve the whole "there is only one way to play this army effectively and it is 'this'". Plus it allows players to have a unique force.

Overall the current book does the four Cult Legions decently enough... Yes, yes, we have no "Khorne Berserker" Terminators and such, but on the whole, there's plenty of character within the mono-God armies.
Word Bearers are serviced enough currently via the Crimson Slaughter codex, as they get Possessed as a Troops option, and one of the relics even includes a fancier Crozius.

Still, what I'd like to see for Chaos Marines is twofold;
1. A 'Chapter Tactics' equivalent for the non-aligned Legions for representing the Black Legion, Word Bearers, Night Lords, Alpha Legion & Iron Warriors. Also, include the more infamous Renegade Chapters such as the Red Corsairs for example.

2. A massively expanded armoury and model line overhaul. We've been stuck with the same 3 special + 4 heavy weapons for 15+ years now. Autocannons no longer cut it when everyone else - even freaking Tyranids have more ready access to medium strength, high rate of fire weapons.

WE. NEED. TOYS!

I'm not claiming that we should get anything as stupidly obnoxious & OP as Grav or Scatbikes, but the return of things like Heavy flamers + Hand flamers, (which we had access to in 2nd edition), and some similar but chaotic versions that can fulfill the same role as grav does, are desperately needed to bring us into the modern age of 40k.

Essentially, Chaos Marines are still stuck equipment wise as an early 4th edition army, trying to complete in the newest 7.5 edition of 40k armies.
