Nurgle Predator Driver with an Infestation




So this is my latest idea to use to bring high mobility and staying power. What I have removed is my long range firepower to do this, so it is very focused on moving up the board quickly. Suggestions welcome on adjustments. I have used Oblits in the past and don't really care for their damage output for the points cost. Plus they like to run away when their friends die.

I like the idea of the Gorepack, especially getting Move Through Cover on the bikes.

It has some serious weaknesses, especially against flyers, but I'm hoping in those cases to just try to ignore them and focus on the mission/holding objectives.

Yes I have usually run him with it. But I had to cut points somewhere, and he usually dies to AP2 things, or turns into a spawn so it isn't that important. If I wanted it I don't know what to cut to get there. I can cut a flesh hound but I need to find 12 more points.

feel like you should dump the maulerfiends they have no real use, especially since you have all that melta, use the extra points in beefing the flesh hounds, there is also another thing you could do, and that is by taking out the gorepack and the mauler fiends and do something really weird and cheesy. what i would do is (for a fast tough army)

x2 sorcerers no mark and ml 3
then x5 spawn for every sorcerer
x2 noise marines with 5 guys and a blastmaster with havoc launcher in rhino that sit on the objective
x3 heldrakes
and try to get a d thirster in there

I personally find the autocannon on the Heldrake useless due to BS 3

BS3 Heldrake cannon normally misses too much, Baleflamer is where it's at. And for AA the Heldrake can always vector strike at Str7, which is pretty nice against most AV10 side armor flyers.

Solid scary and fast list overall, but I'm also curious about the Maulerfiends given that you already have loads of melta. The fiends will probably lack targets, and can be easily tarpitted by large cheap infantry squads.

Thanks for the responses. The Hades Autocannon was a clerical error, BattleScribe used to default to the Baleflamer so I fixed that. I agree, always the Baleflamer

As for the Maulerfiends I guess they are just remnants from previous lists. While they aren't great since I have so much melts I find they draw a good amount of firepower and do well against MC'S. I've tried other heavy support like oblits and havocs and I'm usually disappointed with the results. What would you change them for?

The cultists seem extraneous since you already have 4 tough ObSec units. You could drop them to get a 2+ save on your lord and a couple extra hounds. Also I feel like you might want to Plasma on a couple of your Plague Marine squads since as others pointed out you have an abundance of melta.
