I am going to be able to trade a bunch of unused "Magic the Gathering" Cards to a bud for some of his collection, specifically all his Crisis Suits first and then whatever else I can fit in the trade. I know that this may be rash with the update possibly nerfing Battle-Suits, but the suits have always relatively stayed the same concept and they are getting new models anyways. New Models in GW-Basic = Buff, so I am confident that it will not be a bad investment. I will then move on his Gun Drones, Devilfishies, and Fire Warriors next (since the skimmers can easily be converted to either of the bigger things). He's got most everything that exists in the Tau Codex save for Vespids and Kroot Specials.

Knowing that I am using my Gretchin-theme and that Fire Warriors / Crisis Suits should remain untouched or buffed (Again, new models for each), I will be starting a list building process for generating a transitional army into the update and beyond. Going from Orkz and Imperial Guard to Tau will be interesting but doable. This might be a Blog or something that people skip over, but either way the project remains true!

Pre-Update I am digging the idea of Infantry Tau with Drone/Crisis support. I'm imagining "Grot Burna Wurryrs" exchanging volleys of fire with the enemy as crude "Tank-Suits" and Gun Drones dance with their targets under the watch of an all-seeing Tau Ethereal - Overseer. (Or maybe a Grot Ethereal / Fireblade).

...Uz Grotz are tuff and ruff and had enuff.

This list is kinda my goal for now. Crisis Suits are practically "Free" as well as the fireblade/warriors. Though I can easily manage all of these models if I am real good at pawning off my MTG cards with this man.

Tau don't have psykers, it'll be hard to get Perfect Timing.

Here it is, the start of my force. 10 Drones, 4 Crisis Suits, 2 Devilfish is a bit weird of a start but I went for it. I also have a squad of firewarriors. All of these will need to be stripped first obviously.
