Hi Guys,

I'm trying to understand rules behind Dreadnought Drop Pod (Lucius pattern, IA2). It seems that after arriving it opens, but dread inside is not forced to disembark.
Since it's open-topped it can fire in the first turn and for example disembark in the second one to do assault (assault vehicle).

My question is - what kind of protection such drop pod gives to embarked dreadnought?
I have armour stats, but there is no HP given, so how opponent can actually destroy this additional layer of protection given by drop pod?

What do you think?

The Lucius drop pod does have hull points, like any other vehicle. Perhaps you are not using the second edition of IA2?

And the protection it grants should be obvious: the dread gets to stay inside for a turn, and the pod generates its own cover save for that turn.

Many thanks, I need to check this!

In general it seems that dread can stay in as long as he wants...
