I'm back! With more slate! After a long hiatus from 40k the new Tau codex is bringing me right back in, and that means I'm back in the mood to get YOU some slate and some awesome bases!

Models pictured are NOT for sale

"Why do I want slate?" you say? Because it's the downright BEST basing material in wargaming! It's so great that GW sells a teeny tiny tub for $30! That's crazy!

But worry not! I've got a TON of slate, and I'll sell you enough to make fantastic bases for your whole army, AND keep your wallet light enough to still get the latest and greatest to make your army even better.

"No but seriously, why slate?"
- Slate is the only basing material that, with only PVA glue, you can make a varied and interesting base without any other materials.
- Basing with slate takes only a few seconds, and is ready to play with as soon as the PVA dries, but you can always add on because the material takes glue so well.
- The neutral gray of slate is the perfect background to make your painting really shine! Slate also looks fantastic with just a tiny bit of grass flock because the green pops so well.
- Because the way slate breaks, it scales down to 40k size very well
- Slate isn't porous, so you can glue plastic to it and get a very solid bond
- Slate weighs something! Wobbly model syndrome begone; a bigger piece of slate at the right part of a base makes off-kilter models balanced and easy to play with, for those top heavy models that fall over as soon as they see a hill, you can add more slate to the bottom to bring their center of gravity down. Miss the satisfying clunk of metal models, but love the easy of use of plastic? Slate!

But enough of that! You want more pictures? Here's some more pictures:

Spoiler:

Slate makes large oval bases come alive! Because of the open space you get to use a lot more interesting shapes, and it only takes a minute or so to get to this point!

This is the first base I ever used slate on! I told you it was easy!

Slate is great for small bases too, this took me thirty seconds and looks awesome! (in my humble opinion)

Slate is solid enough to use like this to give character to models and go beyond the simple bases.

If you get creative, you can even do things like this!

All slate is broken, washed, and selected by me so all that YOU have to do is put it on your base and be the envy of your FLGS! I do sort by size so let me know what you plan on basing mostly and I'll give you a custom assortment that works best for your models and army!

I'm looking for Tau models, nothing super particular, but preferably stuff I don't have yet (I have plenty of Broadsides, Riptides, and Crisis Suits) to get ready for whatever changes happen in the new codex. I'll hear all offers! I'd also be interesting in anything Tyranid, particularly Biovores or Hive Guard.

If you'd rather pay cash for them, I accept PayPal, a 16oz tub of slate will be $15+shipping, half the price of GW and at least 4x the size! A 24oz tub is $20+shipping and is enough to outfit the whole list you dream of building. Shipping is usually cheapest via USPS priority, because like I said, slate has some weight to it!

This is going great guys! Thanks to those who have already ordered! I still have plenty of slate left and found a brand new source, so the slate shall continue to flow no matter how many orders I get!
