Who, and what, are they?

We constantly hear about Humans who betray the Imperium to join Chaos, or even the Tau. But what about other species? Do they accept traitors? Do they have traitors? Or are Humans the only major species who'll sell out their own?

I know Orks, Necrons, Dark Eldar and Chaos will occaisonally betray their own for personal advancement, but that's to advance their goals within those socieites. I'm talking about non-Humans actively abandoning the goals of their own species in favour of another's philosophy.

There are lots of mentions of Chaos-corrupted xenos races throughout fluff. They tend to fall in the entire species level though because they're not as big as humanity.

The Chaos worshipping Ork/Genestealer hybrid is pretty awesome!

Well, we know that traitor eldar are dark eldar. Orks have enough squabbling to where it doesn't matter, and I don't think Tau betray each other as it is all for the greater good.

Other xenos, well, they are purged one way or the other by the imperium, so weather or not they are tainted doesn't matter.

I think Commander Farsight considered a traitor to the Tau.

Dark Eldar are not (in the main) Chaos Worshipers - although they can forge pacts with Daemons and the like

There are true fallen Eldar still in the Eye of Terror. now and again its likely other Eldar fall prey to the same weakness despite the various safeguards of the path etc.

Kroot can and have been tainted by Chaos - especially when they feed on dead mortal Chaos creatures.

The Farsight Enclave is interesting - is it the start of a civil war in the same was as the HH was for the Imperium......................... who is he now influenced by now that the Ethereal's have lost their control over him? It may be Chaos or Necrons from bits and pieces I have read but don't have most recent Codexes.

Orks can end up worshiping Chaos - but its not common and they tend to get bashed by other Orks.

Even Tyranids (especially Genestealers) and Necrons can be tainted - physically with relative ease and for those Necron's still with intelligence.............
