Hi is the blue muzzle corrosion effect on flamers just a blue wash or is there an other trick to do it ?

What I usually do is paint the muzzle in whatever metal you normally use, then give it a blue wash, dry-brush two-thirds of it a dark brown with some blue still showing at the end, followed by a lighter black dry-brush focused around the end of the muzzle itself.

Pardon the crappy pic, but it looks something like that then:



Perfect for flamers, meltas or the engines of jets.

I apply Durchii Violet to the tip, getting stronger and stronger as it goes on, this tends to be about 6-8 layers, then out on some bronze and then edge highlight with white.
