I know Knights have been out for a while but haven't played in a game against one as they're just not prevalent around in the meta i tend to play at my LFGS (same goes for the big models from all the factions for that matter - except for the occasional blood thirster that pops up and folks walk away after uttering "uncle" hehe). Couple folks brought them in this weekend and got a chance to watch a good chunk of the battle and daamnn they bring the pain

Been working on IG lists to flush out how/where i'd like to go from the boxes and kits i have currently. Some folks have suggested inquisition to supplement which i might delve into later on. Think the knights i saw on the table where crusaders and paladins.

Thought about how to add one into an IG list and worked this one up last night in Battlescribe (forgive any errors for the knight detachment as i do NOT have that codex at the moment).

Astra Militarum: Codex - Combined Arms Detachment

Hoping the conscripts blob can tie something up for quite a while and let the Gallant have dominion over the table as is it goes about bumping into things across the board.

Took and Enginseer and servitors to follow behind for a turn or 2 and repair a lil bit before they get picked off.

Vendetta hydras and the TIAC should give plenty of Anti Air.

Can kit out the SWS for objective bumping or suicide gank against AV.

Wondering if the list is a bit light against high AV and maybe i should swap out the hydras for a HWS w/ LC?

Oh well, any thoughts suggestions, tips, advice, C&C etc are always appreciated.

I would be very interested in hearing folks thoughts on how best to kit out knights and which ones to go with.

I could see issues with focus fire on the knight. I would also get another priest or commissar for that blob. If someone sniped out that priest they will break. They should make good bubble wrap for your knight.

hmm yeah doubling up on the blob buffers would ensure they stay put and not am'scray.

i took the enginseer with servitors to help offset the focus fire. thinking now i should go all 5x servitor arms. perhaps put a commissar and priest in with them too? or maybe a primaris or 2 and hope for invis to hide the enginseer squad? yeah theres a nice big comfy cover save from standing behind a knight but if anything shoots from the flank...

will probably dump the hydra to make room for these shuffles since there's the vendetta and the TIAC on the gallant already.

Have 15 points left over so upgraded the chimera turrets from multilasers to autocannons for a lil more punch (loud bang bang sounds more manly than wiry pew pew any day)...

dropped the SWS for the HWS with lascannons for a bit more long ranged punch too vs AV.

I don't have the IG codex with me at work but now i'm forgetting if the psyker can join the enginseer with servitors.
