I was just looking through the GW returns, and was compelled to google Tom Kirby's mailing address, after I noticed it included the word "Hall" rather than house, and it turns out it is (or was recently) for sale.

Your chance to have a snoop around the chairman's house. Was disappointed by lack of gaming table :(

Do you think he is bailing out and retiring to the West Indies or something?

That home seems exactly the kind of place a wealthy retired executive would want to hang on to if they had an interest in country pursuits (as opposed to rowing, or sailing, for instance.)

Not to mention he won't get much in south-east England for a paltry £1.25 million.

I expected the house to be bigger to be honest.

Picture 14 seems abit odd compared to the rest too.

Bigger? Eight bedrooms over 722 square metres is pretty big, plus it has grounds. He could easily have fitted a HHHobby room in there.

You won't find a lot of houses that are significantly larger without them being actual stately homes.

Runnin up on ya.

Well, he's not getting any younger; perhaps he needs a smaller space, closer to his lair...er, I mean office.

Bonus points if it turns out his wife is the real estate agent.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Perhaps we need AoS-style terrain rules...

Domain of Wilful Oblivion
Any unit within the structure attacks units outside at a penalty of -1; any attempt to attack the unit within from outside is also made at -1.

Seriously, go and see the Ansells at East Stoke instead - they'll give you a cuppa and sell you some toy soldiers...

She has too many unimportant jobs already.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

You mean too many important jobs that she's not qualified for....

Nice house. I kind of felt like I was watching one of the better episodes of Escape to the Country.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

You have Escape To The Country in Australia?

My wife is devoted to that programme. It gives me hope I might be able to sell up and escape some day.

I'm surprised the house isn't overpriced or that it has some barrier to the entry.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

For a UK house that is huge. I think picture 14 is trying to show the walled garden, but using the strange lenses that estate agents use to make rooms look bigger.

It runs like three nights a week. We get a lot of British shows.

Yeah, my wife too. It gives me hope of escaping in to my study for an hour to paint some minis
