Hi Hi all

I know my progress on the War bike has slowed and I haven't been updating it like I'd like.

Part of that is Serous RL stuff going on at home... And not just the death of a Hen like My Squiggoth post alluded to as the need for some silliness

so I have been focusing on the rl stuff that needs doing and working on smaller stuff to relax (mainly playing farcry and brutal legend honestly)

But I wanted to work on something proper orky after a miss hap led me to inspiration

These are my chore boots. nothing fancy just the oldest ones I got that I don't care getting mud, blood and excrement of several types on

however after years of use the soles have started for come away, and this is not good for keeping your feet separate from the nastyness

home shoe repair glue realy isnt up to saving these for the kinda abuse they go through at my feet, so I had an Idea

Using some scrap leather, pva foam, silicone caulking, shoe glue, and some cheep steel baking sheets and bread pans I'm gonna make me some nice stompy ork boots

I am thinking that since I'm using my old gak kicking boots I'll name them Git Kickers. Anyone have a better name? I have some clearances feild point arrow heads for spikes too

I figure a black boot with red metal plating. What do you think?

I like the name and the idea!
Be very careful putting soft sharp metal over your feet, the reason many places don't use steel cap boots as safety gear is the damage that can be wrought on the foot if the boot is crushed.
I would honestly say to look at foam and worbla like costume makers use.

Not bad ..be sure to roll any metal edges so the sharp part is inside ..Hot glue (not warm like used on poly foam but actual HOT glue will restick those talking dogs so they dont bark as much personally I would use sabatons but that may be beyond the scope of what your wanting to do there
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabaton

but to make a pair takes a lot of man hours (yes I used to get in full steel and play with dead steel then i stopped being foolish and returned to just slaugger and fencing)
