So I checked the insquisition codex online and noticed so many differences between other codexs concerning the same unit or vehicle.

Here's what I found :

Inquisition Chimera
55pts, 5 models can shoot from it's open hatch, doesn't have any lasgun arrays, no searchlight,

Astra Militarum Chimera
65pts, 2 models can shoot from it's open hatch, has lasgun arrays and comes with a searchlight.

or other stuff like,

Inquisition acro-flagellant
15pts, 4 attacks

Adepta seroritas arco-flagellant
10pts, 3 attacks

Is it because inquisition codex is an older edition and therefor would use the stats of the newer editions, or is it because the inquisition doesn't give a flying feth and
it's units behave differently?

The rules matched those in the IG / AS codexes when it was published, but the others have since moved on and had a re-issue (or the AS codex matched Inq and Inq had an update, not sure on order). Note that AS arco-flagellants have a pair of flails, so end up with four attacks too.

Regardless, you use the rules found in the codex you are using.

The units themselves are different.

GW copy/paste unit from older codex. GW never FAQs copy/paste version when new codex is printed. Therefore different rules for same unit. It's GW, not the Inquistion, that doesn't give a flying feth its units behave differently.

I know that the Inquisition Chimera is 10 points cheaper because it lacks two special rules:

Mobile Command Center, and Lasgun Arrays.

I mean, you pretty much said it yourself, it lacks 2 USRs and a piece of wargear, so of course it's going to be cheaper.

I fail to see the issue here....

Uh, 5 fire points is much better than lasgun arrays.

Yep. Ant at 10 ppm cheaper, too.
