Hi all, we (me and wife) are busy with a goff ork army, but wanted something different as an allied army that will fit with the black and white - minus the green and and, but atr the same time build up a secondary army that we can play against eachother. I came accross the renegade chapter called the sons of malice. I know it was malal and gw and the comic book dudes had a tiff and what what. Long story short I have started with six normal chaos space marines and "converted 5 of my old chaos fantasy guys (one was a. Excaltedchampion) so I have 11 guys to start of with. Been trying to find a thread on them but to no avail. Has anybody done anything with them and if so can anybody help. Will post pic soon of what I got thus far, but still a wip.

Well I went alllll the way to the unseen shopp and ended up getting a squad of csm raptors, the idea kicked in after reading a bit more fluff and decided to replace the heads with normal human heads with no hair and I'm gonna put some hanibal lector masks on them, as the som are canibilistic it seems like an idea. Asked one mate to look in his gubbins if he has any, one will do for now.will update as soon as I can

Yep, including in the real world I was asking because a friend of me mentioned that some random company or franchize asked GW to remove Malice/Malal because of copyright issues.
Anyway I like your strart. I would like to see some more details soon Sons of Malice are hard to paint in my opinon. Good job so far.

Well spent last night cleaning one of five raptors and got it primed, wify decided to challenge me to a paint off, so she is doing one too, if anybody has read any of my other threads I suck at painting, but...through some dakka vets motivation I decided to do this one on my own and I am going to go in with a waaaaagh!!!primed and ready!

I love the use of the old chaos warrior bits to make those space marines! Makes them look like the chaos marines from the older artwork!

My only suggestion at this point would be to try source some backpacks to cement the silhouette of chaos space marine.

Thanks for noticing the old stuff, dabbled in fantasy YEARsS ago, so trying to convert as many models as I can, have a bunch of high elf spearman and archers (not even gonna attempt to convert those) and a whole bunch of beastmen, the old type, solid model, still contemplating on hacking them up or putting out for sale

The claws look great! Nice neat painting too, your brush control seems to be good and that's very important all the way through!

You probably planned this already, but your next step should be to hit that gold with some good old Agrax Earthshade, it'll bring out all the lovely detail!

You are correct with the earthshade, had help from a dv(dakka vet) to get my first "washes" unfortenatly they did not have any at the shopp so opted for seraphim sepia.

Thanks, will be taking better photos soon, the iphone I was using for photos got hijacked, so will have to taake photos with the camera from now on as my blackberry does minis no justice.
