Simple question and couldn't find anything on it in search.

What is the Arc of the Carapace Weapons on Knights?

Was watching a game and it came up. 3 IK's were standing back to back around the objective waiting for the Deep Strikers to arrive. Turn 2 only 1/2 the units showed up, so the IK player held firm but that meant that one Knight didn't have anyone in front of him, and the question about the Missile rack on top might be a turret.

Thanks.

Does the model allow the carapace weapon to rotate?

Hard to say in complete honesty. I've never put one together. They were also magnetized, so even if they couldn't before, they now could.

Vehicle LoS is determines the model's physical range of motion on the gun (unless stated otherwise). I haven't see one IRL but based off pictures from the IK codex you can see that the carapace gun are at different angles so it has some rotation at least.

Unlike other vehicles, it doesn't matter how the weapons are mounted on a walker - they always have a 45 degree arc horizontally and vertically.

Per the BRB, and currently being discussed in another thread, all weapons on Superheavy Walkers have a restricted fire arc of 45-dregrees in the front facing, regardless of how the weapon is modeled.

Yea that is good to know.... I assumed the Carapace was 360 degree because of the way it was modeled. I see I assumed wrong! Obviously the arms are not. Glad to see this thread.
