Hi
Looking at painting my Eldar army in a ibrysael or mymeara colour scheme. Mainly wanting an alieny turquoise base to the army. I have all the citadel paints and was wondering what combinations of colours would be good for the base, shade and highlights? Am colour blind so mixing colours is a little tough hence the need for advice!
Thanks Automatically Appended Next Post: No one with good eyes and a solid knowledge of the citadel range? Would really appreciate any advice as am itching to get started!

Hey man, that is no simple question and to be honest sometimes to get a good looking color scheme you have to paint a few test models, just pick up the base and layer colors you like and go for it. While I find the base colors in citadel's range somewhat limited they do have some nice looking layer paints and I guess Kabalite/Sybarite green would be your main layer paint if you want a turqoise scheme. I guess if you're asking others to pick up a paint scheme for you, you won't mind Internet suggestions - and there's a plenty of these all around:
Just search for "turquoise eldar" on Google...
Shades and highlights are to be chosen after you picked the main colors.
cheers

Yeah good point. I'll do a little more research. Base layered kabalite green yesterday as read it was a good colour but seems a little too blue to me. That just my messed up eyes or will highlights change this? Any recommendation for highlights to see what this looks like?
Kahnawake thanks so much for taking the time. That wraithknight looks amazing, your fine work? What colours were used here?

That is not my work, that is a miniature I found in the Google search - I just linked it to my post.
I have Kabalite green and TBH it looks nothing like blue to me, but people say I have a messed up color perception lol. Highlights definitely change the perception of the color but again I am not a good painter, I like painting a lot but my skills are rather mediocre.
Try out the rest of the greens in the GW range or look for other manufacturers if you're not satisfied with the results. I have mostly Vallejo paints and there is a turquoise in their Game Color palette.

If you are going for the FW style
it is hawk turquoise fading into orkhide shade and ice blue
airbrushed.
they did it over a marbled black and white base coat.
but this is for there titans and big vehicles.

Rubbish, don't have an airbrush and don't have those colours, they're the old colours right? Possible to do something similar with the new range and just a paint brush?

Yes there is always a way.
Check the color compatibility chart to see if you can find something similar.
secondly you can get a close representation of the effect by glazing and painting in thinner layers so the previous ones show more.
