I will run a bunch of spawn with a juggerlord.... And on some rare occasions a discsorcerer

I tend to use Sorcerers, as Chaos Sorcerers are actually really good. They get fewer attacks and one less wound, but have access to Telepathy and Biomancy, which both have great powers for Spawn (Invisibility, Shrouding, Endurance, etc.).

Sanctic isn't too bad either, especially if you get off Hammerhand, and as so many Sanctic powers only require one warp charge you can safely use 1-2 dice to cast them with low odds of perils.

Always use a Spell Familiar. Or the Balestar of Mammon as Divination has some good powers too (Forewarning, Misfortune and Prescience are all great for Spawn)

In a perfect situation you have invisible spawn with 4+ FnP and 40xS7 attacks

Jugger lord or bike sorceror. Sometimes both.

I prefer daemonkin hounds now tho.

It's either a Juggerlord (where you just straight up brought little troops), Crimson Slaughter Nurgle Lord (because you want Plague Marines as troops), or the good ol' Sorcerer (where you have enough Warp Charges in your army to get the powers off.

I use a Crimson Slaughter Nurgle Biker Lord, Nurgle Spawn, and an unmarked Biker Sorcerer as single unit.

If I was forced to drop one or the other the Sorcerer would go because psyker stuff is too random sometimes and the Lord is 100% dependable in what I can hope to accomplish, while I cant even know what powers the sorcerer will actually be attempting to cast in my next game.

Most lists I build now have 2 ML3 sorcerers, with the bikes and the spell familiars, and the whole 9 yards, each in a unit of 5 Spawn, and whoever gets Invisibility, rolls with the Biker Lord (who always ends up a spawn himself).

Sigil may or may not be worth it, since perils don't take saves, and the Lord does the heavy fistings.

I'm also starting to doubt the effectiveness of the Daemon heart Relic since the Lord is always spawning, or LOS the wounds to spawn, but I still pay.
