So i've spent a good few weeks at attempting
nmm and
tbh im pretty bad at it so gone back to metallics. The reason i went for
nmm is because i couldnt really find an "out of the box" copper local to me that i liked as i wanted a really reddish copper. After a few experiments I decided that the deep red copper look just didnt work for me so I somehow ended up just using hashut copper washed with agrax earthshade then drybrushed hashut copper again. Add some verdigris (cant remember the colour
atm but will get it out later and add it), drybrush again, then some turquoise oil paints around the rivets.
Seemed like a lot of work but i'm fairly happy with the copper i have ended up with. I didnt want too much verdigris but i did want it to look haggard with age and im pleased with the result thus far.
Criticism is very welcome. Not sure if i should do some highlighting or not. Also maybe less verdigris around the rivets. In photos its obvious but in the flesh your eyes aren't drawn to it too much which is what i was going for
