My favorite order of inquisitors has always been the Ordo Xenos, mainly because they go around with all the cool tech, shooting people in the face with a Conversion Beamer and then hacking them apart with a Scythian Venom Talon, and also because I like the lore. Which is why I was disappointed that Inquisitor Valeria never showed up in Codex Inquisition. And, yes I know it's supposed to be because she's stuck in Trazyn's infinite maze (something I hoped to only be temporary, but given her disapearence, probably isn't.) So, who else is hoping that she'll make a return and if not that we'll get a new Ordo Xenos character? Do you think there's actually a chance GW might do this?

GW's current policy is 'no model, no rules' hence the dropping of many special characters from different codexes (plus Marbo, poor Marbo, I always liked Marbo).

Maybe if GW ever does a real Inquisition Codex with plastics and a book printed on paper, maybe. But I've not even ehard whisperings of one.

But they rarely do female models (barring elfs) and when they do it tends to be an all female army/unit like the Sisters of Battle, sisters of Sigmar or Howling Banshees.

So my guess is no.

That being said you can always ask if you may use her 5th edition rules or just have a stock Inquisitor you use as her.

I did one a while back for Eisenhorn.

Valeria canonically escaped the maze, that's not why she was dropped.

She just didn't have a model, so they got rid of her rules to evade someone pulling a Chapterhouse on them.

Just to take note: IG characters were not dropped because of no models.

IG characters were dropped "because feth IG". I have the official sly Marbo and captain Alraheim models sitting on my shelf at home.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Those are often mentioned as an exception to the 'no model, no Rules' policy.
Poor sly Marbo....

"IG are not allowed to have characters that are fun! This is ludicrous! This guy isn't a scarred white guy who looks like he just are a lemon at all! Delete him from the codex.

I'm of mixed feeling on IG characters being removed. I just imagine they've retired to some agriworld to be extremely badass farmers, as opposed to poor Harker who took a shot to the head and forgot how to catachan.

I hope one day the call will go out for heros, Marbo, Al'raheim, Chenkov, and Bastone will stop baling hay to groxes, all look at each other, nod silently as the set aside their pitchforks and take up their flak armor and lasguns once more to carry out the Emperor's will.

Except... that is exactly what Sly Marbo looks like.
