So while reading through a article something occured to me, is Archaon The Everchosen basically Abbadon for Fantasy? They seem to be extremely similar so it seems like a possibility especially since both 40K and Fantasy, while having key differences besides the obvious of sci-fi/ fantasy, are pretty much the same and based off the same concept. So I was just wondering if any one knew if this is the case or just a coincidence.

Pretty much the same yeah, though I guess he is more competent having actually succeeded in destroying everyone.

On a side note on Abbadon, if I remember correctly from reading my CSM Codex, apparently it said he had planned to have 13 Black Crusades. Each one forming a ritual line of carnage and slaughter in space and when the 13th is completed it will open a giant rift in real space where Daemons can freely spill forth. And when this happens he plans to lead his forces and limitless Daemon forces against the Imperium and eventually reach Tarra to destroy the Emperor.

So if what the codex says is true it sounds like he has a grand plan.

Most people interpret that as GW trying to spin 12 failed crusades to not look as incompetent.

I'm pretty sure it also didn't happen because the 13th black crusade was supposed to be a worldwide event where people sent in the results of their games and that shifted the balance in the fluff. Except Timmy 12 year old and his marines got creamed on every front by veteran chaos players and GW didn't want to let chaos win in the fluff so the results all became null and void. They basically backpedaled hard on the whole 'you can effect the story' thing when it became clear the predetermined winner (Imperium) wasn't actually going to win. I think now the 13th crusade has dragged out into a stalemate on Cadia.

Not unlike how Archaon lost the Storm of Chaos before the retcon. Which made him more similar to Abaddon.

Maybe Abaddon will get to win when they advance the storyline to Warhammer: 50,000

I don't have the end time books, but what happened to Archeon after he destroyed everything? Or is it in the AoS books? I have all of those

Do we know if he is even still around in AoS at all?

I doubt it will happen but I'd love to see Demon Prince Archaon as a reward for destroying the Old World and actually seeing some consistency in the fluff.

Archaon is still around he has a whole mini books series since he is gathering champions to retaliate against the stormcast since well... they are wrecking everyone, one of the nurgle champions in the mini series believe they are myth and thinks warbands are using them as an accuse for their losses. Archaon has someone named the many eyed servant who is searching across the realms for worthy champions. Going by the general fluff(which is not BL) he is not a demon prince he is more like a demi god now and technically it was a certain vampire that ensured the old world was destroyed and guess what? In the recent audiobook the stormcast are sent to the realm of death to get an auidence with nagash(we all know how that is going to turn out ) they come across a certain von carstien as well.

Oh and in one of the books Archaon servant has told the khornate champion who hates khorne to meet Archaon in the realm of shyish sooo I think Death in next on the update block considering the whole storyline seems to be shifting over there and a certain writer is going to start writing about tomb kings. Oh and in the recent audio book Nagash has a monologue about how he is going to endure everything people throw at him and how he is going to rise again.

If you want I can type down his speech(its pretty epic with the music playing as well and the good voice actor). This pretty much means is going to go down in the realm of death.

Call of Archaon is an ebook series and the realm gate wards dealing with the death realm is going to be a 4 part audiobook series. The audiobook is about an hour but I have to say out of the BL audiobooks its my favorite one
