Does anyone have a specific way they use these things? They look really awesome but theyre armor save is kind of sucky... I was considering using a Seer Council and just giving them Invisibility for trolls... Is there a squad size you recommend?

I own four Clawed Fiends but I've never heard of anyone other than me owning them.

- Keep them in cover
- Rush at whatever soft target you can find
- Monkey-punch its face in.
- Consider tossing in a Razorwing Flock to soak wounds in CC.

I wouldn't bother putting invisibility on them though unless for some reason you're running a very large squad of them.

I've had success with Beast Packs when I'm running an MSU alpha-rush assault list with 6-7 units applying immediate assault pressure.

Units of one could work for Objectives, or for absorbing Overwatch.

I did this with 1-model units of Khymera for my Harlequins once and it worked great.

Your opponent gets to choose which *unit* their attacks go, however when more than one model is in base-to-base contact you get to choose where the wounds go (unless the attacker has precision strike).

You're going to want a beastmaster because individual beasts have terrible leadership. That's okay though because Beastmasters are a good value for just 10 points. Consider getting two so one can soak a challenge if need be.

I've ran as many as 5 all solo. You could make a unit of them but it's expensive to be hinging on the life of a beast master or three. I suggest single models.

You might also want to consider running one Fiend with a beastmaster for the Ld since fiends freak out and run off the map when they lose combat. Masters are just 10 pts and give a nice little shooting attack.
