Hey gang,
im slowly starting to get back into the hobby and was hoping to find a couple games with people who can help ease me into the 7th edition. I haven't played since 5th so there's a lot of things I've missed. If there's anyone in CNY area who's willing to help a guy out it with some 1000 point games to relearn the game and get the feel of the rules it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm going to be relocating to Syracuse in late April/early May.

Definitely down for a game - still new to the game, with about 5 battles total (7th Ed).

Dont know if you want to make the treck, but we have two stores here in colonie and a much more competative store over in East GreenBush, so your certainly not starved for choice.

I'm here in Oswego, just getting back into it myself as well. No games under my belt yet, but I'm down to play!

Well, it seems like there's a bunch 2-3 hours away, which I'm not opposed to or anything, but for weekly or even bi-weekly games it's a bit of a hike. May end up getting the itch too bad and making the trek though. I've heard good stuff about millennium games in Rochester and mixed stuff about comix zone in Syracuse, anyone have any experience with either?

Starting to think I'm spoiled here in MD - we have a GW store (Battle Bunker?) within 15 minutes of my pad, and 2 more vendors within 30.

I'm in oswego and play WarmaHordes at comix zone. Some good people there, Mike runs the 40k stuff and he's a cool guy. Starting 40k and willing to try and setup games at my place since cuse is a 45 minute ride.

Must be nice to have some so close! Everything near me is at least 45 minutes, and the closest GW is about 3 hours. I'm gonna try and go up to comix zone Thursday and check out the scene. I'll check back in with the results of that. As for getting a game together around here, I'd definitely be up for it. Pretty much just been running the dark vengeance missions against myself and it's got me hooked!

I play at CZ when I play. Real good place to ay with a good assortment of players ranging from your fun games to cheese factories. Would definitely recommend hitting there on a Thursday

I've had several good experiences there since the last time I posted here. Pretty good terrain and a good amount of people every week. Good place to play.

HI! I'm also from Oswego NY. Im getting my girlfriend and I into 40k real soon. Just need to get armies together and painted. glad to hear there are some players close by. I checked out CZ web sight but it looks like its not been updated in 6 months.... anyone know whats up?

Yeah, CZ Store calender on their website is usually months behind. If you go to their FB page it has all of the current and upcoming event listed

Thursday nights are usually pretty hoppin man, you should be able to get a game there if you go. I'm in Oswego, and I'm always down to play, as well as another guy I know.

Hey, anyone still in the syracuse area that's looking for a games, I'm going to be in town next monday and tuesday, and was wondering if anyone felt like getting bashed by some orks one of those nights? That is the nights of Oct 10th or 11th.

Carl, Syracuse is a bit of a hike from Oneonta and the Bearded Dragon, and unless things have changed drastically since I was fired from there, there is next to 0 GW community. He'd be wasting his time. Maybe if he tried out Serenity Hobbies in Oneonta, but I believe that lowered its minis play after the two owners had a falling out. His best bet, as much as I dislike the place cuz the owner is an arrogant ass, is Jupiter Games in Binghamton/Johnson City. Should be an hours ride, and the 40k crew is decent.
