Greeting to everyone! I have been lurking dakka for the past year since getting back into the hobby and it's time to start contributing. So I started wargaming in my early teens back in warhammer 2nd edition when a friend gave me the orks out of the starter kit. For years we would get together with other friends and battle it out every weekend. Then like most people I fell out of the hobby for many years, and didnt play very often during 4th-6th edition. I did though while I was in college had the oppertunity to pick up a ton of dark eldar models and couldnt pass it up. From that point on my friends and I would get together once a year or so for a weekend of drinking and pushing around little toy soldiers. Well alittle over a year ago one of those friends moved close to me and we got back into the hobby and started playing about once a week. When we started playing we were playing on a dinning room table with carboard boxes as scenery, and in just a year we have painted armies and a killer board fully painted. He (Axisofentropy) introduced me to dakka and this fourm has been a wealth of information and for the first time ever I feel like I actually understand some of the basic concepts and theories of wargaming. So thank you to all of you and I hope to contribute to the community!

Hi. Welcome to Dakka. It's fun here

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Great to see another lurker convert to a poster

What do you feel has been your biggest A ha! moment with the hobby?
