How well do these to mesh and is it fluffy? I don't know the lore real well I know Titan has one of there moons for equipment but do they get along well enough to join up. Read somewhere they GK don't care for them all that much for their Religion?

Anyways was thinking of getting a few squads of rangers and maybe onager for backfield support/Low cost troops. Or would I be better off staying with pure GK list. Thanks

Ultras are definitely good allies in terms of long range support (Devs, Centurions, TF Cannons, etc.) and their Doctrines help.

However, Skitarii and GK get along well (As do all Imperium guys), and is fairly fluffy. If you were to take some as Allies, I'd probably take some Dune Crawlers for their kickass AA guns, Rangers for some okay firepower (they're usually better at hiding in cover and camping objectives) and some IronStriders. They're a lot like Guard Sentinels, but have a little bit better weaponry and get +3" on all their movement, and hold up okay in Assaults.

In short, Ultramarines are fine, they're decent SM Allies. Skitarri will give you a little more flexibility in terms of things GK need. Google GK w/ Skitarri Allies lists, there are plenty out there.

Grey Knights have a very strong and positive relationship with the AdMech. AdMech not only supplies all of the GK technology, they also fulfill the roles of servitors for GK that are normally filled by washed out Marine recruits in regular Chapters.

There is no reason why the GK could not be fielded with AdMech support, or in support of AdMech forces. The only reason why we haven't seen it yet is because Skitarii and Cult Mechanicus forces are relatively new to the game and still being defined in the fiction. What we do know, though, is that there is an entire Titan Legion available to the GK in the form of the Psi-Titan Corp, which is most likely base out of the Demos Forgeworld orbiting Titan, that uses a special pattern of Warlord Titan armed with a Titan-class Psycannon and a Sanctum Sanctorium housing a Psychic Chior. There is also a strong chance that the Ordo Sinester is base out of Demos, the smallest Titan Legion composed of only 12 Emperor Titans, which are solely under the command of the Inquisition for use in Exterminatus.

As such, Grey Knight probably can call upon AdMech forces, just as the AdMech can always call upon the Sons of Titan.

There was a good book written on this alliance called dark mechanicus. The priests took part of the Horus heresy as well and have their own chaos worshipping tech priests. Grey knights fight them as well
