Title says it all, has anyone ever come across a cheaper or better alternative for chaos furies models? I've always wanted to include them in my army but can't possibly stomach the price for 5 metal mini's when the squad size can be so large.
If anyone has a good alternative for fiends of slaanesh, you'd be doing me a favour too. Holy gak those things are overpriced!

Mine are Dark Eldar Scourges.
There's enough parts in the box to fairly easily convert each model to be holding one close combat weapon and one dagger (one model will have his or her dagger embedded in the base rather than in hand), and the wings and helmets work pretty well as long as you try to paint the helmet to look like it's the model's actual face.
You also get a motley horde with no unity of weaponry suggesting a complete lack of discipline, which is nice.

Hmm.. That could work. I have lots of bitz to chaosify them as well. I'll have to check the price difference on that.
Thanks!

I had lots of fun building Daemonettes/Bloodletters/Nurglings and Pink Horror Furies.
As implied, simply slap on some wings you might have lying around and BAM you got yourself some Furies. I liked the Nurglings the best though simply because they're adorable, but the Daemonettes came out great too, and the best part is, they're all relatively the same size as the old Metal Furies!

You know, goliothonline, that would probably be my best bet. I would need to find wings but that's easy.
The only problem i can see with that is that i would either have to build four full squads, or only run them as slaanesh (which is the only one that really makes sense) and stick to making them from daemonettes. Scourge wings would work great for those in particular.
I can't believe i didnt think of that, it's the simplest solution. Now to find out if it's cheapest.
GoliothOnline, do you happen to have any tricks for fiends of slaanesh?

Hilariously I had built 9 Fiends of Slaanesh back in the day out of Chaos Spawn Parts and using Seeker bodies, making them look like Zerglings with claw-arms coming off their shoulders. I mix and matched quite a bit from old parts I had used, but in the end they looked great and saved me quite a bit of money.
On the flip side, buying Gargoyle wings on Ebay cost me a pretty penny so it kinda evened out! haha If you are planning on buying wings for your troop choice converts to turn them into Furies, I suggest Scourges or Gargoyles. They look the best, but are hard to find. You might want to consider buying boxes of Gargoyles themselves and simply snatching the wings from them as most sets on Ebay and the likes are about 3$ a piece =/
