Apologies if this has come up before. I`m curious as to what would happen in the following scenario: if a unit of 10 decides to assault a target unit, but only one model in this unit of 10 can actually see the target unit, can the assault still go off if the one model with line of sight dies to Overwatch fire? Or does the requirement to have line of sight to conduct the assault apply to EVERY step of the assault and not just the declaration?

EDIT: I am also assuming that, like a regular shooting attack, any overwatch shots in the above example could only be allocated to the one visible model in the unit. Is this correct?

Line of sight is required only to declare the charge. Once it's declared I think it'd be safe to assume the one model has let he rest of the unit know what they're aiming for and the rest of the unit can happily attempt to avenge the one model by rolling their charge distance.

Line of sight is only required to declare, I believe.

This could be useful against Tau, especially, since Overwatch wounds will (normally) only be able to be allocated to models the firing unit has LOS to. If only one model is exposed, the others cant have any wounds applied to them.

(Unless I'm missing something.)
