Hi,
I'm going to be doing Imperial Fists soon and have been considering what to use as a primer. I can't spray basically because I've got nowhere to spray so am looking at Vallejo's acrylic primers. They have 2 that I think may suit but was wondering if any of you have used them? The first one is called 'Desert Tan' and the other is German Dark Yellow, please bear in mind that I haven't seen either!Although I've got a fair idea what German dark yellow will look like!
So if anyone has experience of either can you let me know which one will be better suited as basecoat for Imperial Fists?

I think I've got German Dark Yellow primer here, if you want a darker grittier imperial fist army, it'd be great. If you wanted bright and shiny, go for white.

Here it is here for DV chosen (undercoating for red)

I've not used desert tan though, so I can't compare for you

Dark yellow for sure. Desert tan is like a pale beige, khaki colour.

Actually, to jump in late... my preference is actually desert tan to paint yellow. I find that Vallejo yellow blows chunks covering colors, and desert tan requires fewer layers to get a nice yellow onto it.

Of course, the shade of yellow that you want at the end of the day makes a big difference.

Desert tan also covers a lot better than Vallejo white primer.
