Currently in Stronghold Assault.

Of course the book was released for 6th edition, so some of the rules don't quite mesh right regarding some of the buildings (eg VSG).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

You roll to penetrate against vehicles. The Void Shield is not a vehicle, it's a special rule so RAW it's nigh unpenetrable. People differ on RAI and it's just a pain to play with.

Also because you can conga line a large unit from your deployment to the enemy's deployment zone and due to how it's worded you can still claim VSG.

This is why we need a common sense rule

What size building is it?

The datasheet says it is an Impassible Building. The Main rulebook says the datasheet will say the size and that tells you how many hull points.

That's the problem with Void Shields, not the VSG. The problem with the VSG is it has no hull points.

No, it's not. It might be the same size as a Bastion, however, there is no way to determine it's size for rules purposes. As such you cannot determine the number of hull points.

Impassable Building (Armour value 13) with battlements
