DES MOINES, Iowa -
A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody by police, accused of sexually assaulting an Omaha high school teacher.

According to police, the 28-year-old North High School teacher said she was inappropriately touched by a student in the hallway last Wednesday.

She said the teen was with a group of students, and when she told them to keep moving, she says the boy put one hand in her back pocket, and used the other to brush against her chest.

The teacher notified school officials and the police.

After investigating, the Omaha Police Department said the teen will be charged with third-degree sexual assault. He has since been referred to the juvenile justice system.

The police report indicates the teacher told the boy, following the harassment, quote:

"Don't ever do that again. I'll drop you."

The president of the Omaha Education Association, Chris Proulx, says she had every right to say that.

“It's not outside their reason to think that the first thing that comes out of your mouth is such shock,” Proulx said.

The school district sent us the following statement:

“Staff safety is a top priority at OPS. The district is investigating – but cannot comment on student discipline matters per federal law.”

Sounds like he's lucky she didn't drop him right there.

She'd have been well within her rights to have reasonably defended herself.

Have fun in juvie! And enjoy the perks of an expulsion, notably that you are still required to go to school until you're 17. You're parents will either have to home school you or enroll you in some expensive private school.

It involves a nekkid person, a whip-like torture implement, and a chair with a hole in the bottom. Sounds like a fitting punishment to me.

In the Seattle area, she'd be fired for saying that. I'm not saying she's wrong, just that I'm surprised to see a school backing a Teacher who stood up to a student.

To add to the previous comment, bond apparent has literal steel balls because he asks the villain to scratch to the left after taking a few shots.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often, some kids come from very odd backgrounds and upbringings, and can be aggressive and inappropriate. He's probably got a track record of behaviour, stuff like this never comes out the blue.

If he was wearing a thong and a tiara, he would have been Austin's icon Leslie so of course you couldn't touch him or ten thousand hippies (and my wife) would descend upon you with furious anger to avenge their brother.

I think it's acceptable to throw any form of violent, damage inducing object at a hipster. Regardless of what they're doing. If they have an IPA in hand, they must be destroyed.
