Monday? Must be time for another Glacial Geek Battle Report! https://youtu.be/gviawMMaavA This time we find the Blood Angels and the Dark Angels back at it! After the battle between the two chapters resulted in the escape of Cypher, the Sons of the Lion felt a bit upset. They sent their elite fighting forces to strike back against a Blood Angels force to reap revenge against the Sons of Sanguinius for their part in helping the Arch Traitor escape. Will the Unforgiven be able to taste the sweetness of revenge, or will the Blood Angels be able to persevere and bloody the Dark Angels once again? Watch and find out!

Your tactics are getting better! The only thing I found weird was how you decided to shoot the lucius with the whole pred squadron, then tried to nuke the dread with your dread... Why didn't you shoot your dread first at the lucius? If that failed, why didn't your forgo the tank hunter special rule of the preds to shoot at it one by one with each pred?

Hopefully then, you could of had at least 1, 2 or maybe even all 3 preds firing at the dread, which was the threat that deserved the most firepower?

I would have probably utilised the deathwing as one coordinated attack in one board area as well, if you would have focussed them all in that opponents far corner then they may have stuck around to wreck face in his backline.

Oh, and Sanguinor is not AP3, if he was he'd be an auto pick, I think he also said he's STR 7? He's 5 base, so 6 with FC.

I thought you had to shoot the whole squadron at one target? I was under the impression that a tank squadron is meant to act like a squad of infantry (taking roll over wounds, shooting at the same target, the closest model getting hit with shooting, etc.). Would be cool if they could split fire, but I haven't read anywhere about tanks gaining split fire in squadrons.

Yeah, I never know whether to drop my Deathwing in one place and try to wreck face, or spread them out a bit and hope for them to survive and bring the pain to a larger group of enemy ... Of course with my rolls for terminator armor it's always a crap shoot ;-)

I heard about the Sanguinor thing after the fact. It happens ... Apparently he was AP2 in the previous codex and my opponent just got the two confused. C'est La Vie! :-)

Yep, brain fart as I never use vehicle squadrons. You are right. Still, fire the dreadnaught first next time!

Haha! No worries :-) ... Yeah, I was under the impression I had to pop the drop pod before I could shoot at the dreadnought. As such I thought it best to make sure the drop pod was taken care of in case I only got one glance or something from the dreadnought and then had to use the Predators anyway. Next time I'll know better :-)

Sanquinor could have gone around the Death Company to make the charge.

I like to think that they slinked off under the cover of cameleolene after getting the high-profile kill. (that was who the dark angels were going after in the first place, right? )
